Abstract

Background and Aim: Considering the importance of identifying the constituents of the navy military psychological health, this research aimed to study the psychopathological and psychological consequences of the navy military forces' jobs. Methods: The present research is a qualitative study. The grounded theory method was used during this study. For this purpose, 15 participants were selected by using a purposive sampling method and were studied via deep interviews. Data were collected, registered and encoded in main categories. Results: The average age of the participants was 43 years and the professional experience was 16 years. Analyzing the interview by codified data were resulted in identifying 71 primary codes, 18 sub category, and 8 core category including family, cognitive, personality, life quality and style, environmental, spiritual, emotional and leadership factors. Conclusion: Therefore, psychological factors have a fundamental role in the pathology, prevention and treatment of psychological consequences of the navy military forces. It is necessary to pay more attention to these psychological factors for the navy military forces psychological and physical health.
