Abstract

Aims: The present study explores the relationship between organizational spirituality and the employees' job satisfaction and job stress in a Medical Military University. Methods: This study is practical, and with regards to the method of the research, it is correlational. The population of this study consists of all the staff of a Medical Military University (170 employees). A sample of 118 employees were selected through available sampling. The instruments used in this study include the Organizational Spirituality Questionnaire developed by Milliman, the Job Description Questionnaire validated by Visoki and Crome, and the HSE Questionnaire. The reliability of these instruments were 0.87, 0.92, and 0.78 respectively. The gathered data in this study were analyzed by Pearson correlation coefficient, one-way ANOVA, and Scheffe posthoc test. Results: The mean of organizational spirituality, job stress, and job satisfaction were 69.72, 101.32, and 101.14. The correlation coefficient between organizational spirituality and job stress was-0.531, the correlation coefficient between organizational spirituality and job satisfaction was 0.343, and the correlation coefficient between job stress and job satisfaction was-0.641. Conclusion: The results showed that by exploiting spirituality, it is certain to increase and improve the organizational spirituality and reduce job stress among the staff.
